7. Bewegung und Sport bei Jugendlichen

Zusammenfassung

Obwohl die Mehrheit der Jugendlichen gesund ist, führt der erhebliche Bewegungsmangel zu zunehmenden Zivilisationskrankheiten mit Übergewicht, kardiovaskulären Risikofaktoren oder Haltungsschäden. Bewegung und Sport können diese verhindern. Dieses Kapitel gibt eine Übersicht über die wichtigsten positiven Auswirkungen, aber auch über Gefahren von Bewegung und Sport. Für den praktischen Arzt werden die Bewegungsempfehlungen beschrieben und schlussendlich wird auf wichtige Pfeiler der sportmedizinischen Untersuchung (SPU) eingegangen. Die SPU ist eine wichtige Untersuchung zur Diagnose von gesundheitlichen Risiken und als Grundlage der sportlichen Tätigkeit, damit die Möglichkeiten des Jugendlichen im Rahmen von Freizeit-, Leistungssport oder in der Therapie bestmöglich ausgeschöpft werden können. Da diese SPU keiner vertragsärztlichen Leistung entspricht, ist relevant, dass sich der Arzt entscheidet, welcher Umfang an Untersuchungen notwendig und sinnvoll ist.
