22. Posttraumatische Belastungsstörung bei Kindern und Jugendlichen

Zusammenfassung

Die posttraumatische Belastungsstörung (PTBS) ist eine gravierende psychische Störung, die bei Kindern und Jugendlichen nach besonders belastenden Erlebnissen wie z. B. Naturkatastrophen, Unfällen sowie dem Erleben sexueller oder nichtsexueller Gewalt auftreten kann. Auch die verbale Vermittlung eines solchen Ereignisses scheint bei Jugendlichen und Kindern eine PTBS auslösen zu können (z. B. die Nachricht/Fotografien vom gewaltsamen Tod eines Familienmitglieds). Vermutet wird, dass Kinder ab 3 Jahren von PTBS betroffen sein können. Zu den grundlegenden Dimensionen der Symptomatik und den einzelnen Symptomen sei auf die entsprechenden Kapitel dieses Buches verwiesen.
