23. Rehabilitation bei rheumatischen Erkrankungen

Zusammenfassung

Patienten mit rheumatoider Arthritis sind meist in ihren Aktivitäten des täglichen Lebens beeinträchtigt. Durch eine komplexe Rehabilitation, welche Trainingstherapie, Bewegungstherapie, Ergotherapie, physikalische Modalitäten, eine psychologische Betreuung und diätetische Maßnahmen umfasst, sollen körperliche Struktur und Funktion, Aktivitäten und Partizipation verbessert werden. Insbesondere in der Frühphase des Morbus Bechterew ist die Bewegungs-, Sport- und auch medizinische Trainingstherapie äußerst hilfreich. Physikalische Modalitäten wie Elektrotherapie, Bäder, Radon- und Klimatherapie sind als zusätzliche Maßnahmen zur weiteren Verbesserung der Erfolge in die therapeutischen Überlegungen mit einzubeziehen. Ziel der Rehabilitation im Allgemeinen ist die Erhaltung einer weitgehenden Selbständigkeit im Alltag. Obwohl neue medikamentöse Strategien die Prognose der rheumatischen Erkrankungen deutlich verbessern, sind physikalisch medizinische und rehabilitative Maßnahmen aus der Grundversorgung rheumatischer Patienten nicht wegzudenken.
