Surgery is the standard of care for malignant thyroid nodules, with or without lymph node metastases [1]. The incidence of thyroid cancers is rapidly increasing, particularly among the younger population [age group < 45] [2]. Increased sensitivity of newer imaging techniques like high-resolution ultrasonography can be attributed to the dramatic increase in the number of cases [3]. …
